Google Review QR Code Generator
Turn your Google Business Profile review link or Place ID into a customizable QR code for receipts, counters, cards, signs, and follow-up messages.
Find this in your Google Business Profile dashboard under "Ask for reviews" or "Get more reviews" — Google generates a shareable link there.
Don't know your Place ID? Search "Google Place ID Finder" or check your Google Business Profile dashboard to look it up.
The Google review QR code generator turns your existing review link or Google Place ID into a scannable QR code. Customers can scan it to open the corresponding Google review page without manually searching for your business.
You can customize the QR size, foreground color, background color, error-correction level, and white margin. Once the code is ready, download it as a PNG, copy the image, or open the encoded link for testing.
What Is a Google Review QR Code?
A Google Review QR code stores a link to the review page for a specific Google Business Profile. When a customer scans it, their phone opens the encoded link. Google may ask the customer to sign in before they can select a rating or write a review.
The QR code does not collect, submit, or manage reviews. It simply gives customers a quicker way to reach the Google review page associated with the link or Place ID you provide.
What This Generator Can and Cannot Do
The Google review QR code generator creates a static QR image from information you already have. It does not search Google Maps, connect to your Google Business Profile, or retrieve business information automatically.
- Review link mode: Paste the complete review-request link copied from your Google Business Profile.
- Place ID mode: Enter a Google Place ID and the tool builds a write-review URL containing that identifier.
- Customization: Choose the QR dimensions, foreground color, background color, margin, and error correction.
- Output: Download a PNG, copy the generated image, or open the encoded destination.
- No business search: The tool cannot find your company by name, address, or phone number.
- No link verification: The tool does not confirm that the URL or Place ID belongs to the intended business.
- No analytics: The generated static QR code does not count scans or provide a reporting dashboard.
How to Find Your Google Review Link
Google provides a shareable review-request link through your Business Profile. According to Google's current Business Profile instructions, you can find it by following these steps on a computer:
- Open the Google Business Profile you manage.
- Select Read Reviews.
- Select Get more reviews.
- Copy the review link Google provides.
- Paste that link into the generator and create your QR code.
Google may change the labels or layout of the Business Profile interface. If you cannot find these options, consult Google's latest help page rather than copying an ordinary Google Maps search URL.
How to Use the Google Review QR Code Generator
- Choose an input method: Select either I Have My Review Link or I Have My Place ID.
- Enter the destination: Paste your Google review link or the Place ID for the correct business location.
- Select the QR size: Choose 200, 300, 400, 600, or 1000 pixels.
- Choose error correction: Select Low, Medium, Quartile, or High. High is selected initially.
- Pick the colors: Choose contrasting foreground and background colors.
- Keep or remove the margin: The safe white margin is enabled by default and should normally remain enabled.
- Generate the code: Select Generate Review QR Code.
- Verify the destination: Use the Open Link option and scan the QR code with a phone.
- Download the PNG: Save the image only after confirming that it opens the review page for the correct location.
Using a Google Place ID
A Place ID is a textual identifier associated with a location in the Google Places database. The tool places the ID inside a Google write-review URL and encodes that completed URL in the QR code.
If you do not know your Place ID, use Google's official Place ID Finder. Confirm the business name, address, and branch before copying the identifier.
Place IDs are not guaranteed to remain unchanged forever. Google explains that they can become obsolete when a business moves, closes, or its Maps information changes. If an older QR code stops reaching the correct location, retrieve the current review link or Place ID and generate a new code.
Customization and Download Options
- QR sizes: 200, 300, 400, 600, and 1000 pixels.
- Error correction: Low, Medium, Quartile, or High.
- Default error correction: High.
- Foreground color: Customizable.
- Background color: Customizable.
- Safe margin: Optional and enabled initially.
- Download format: PNG.
- Additional controls: Copy Image and Open Link.
Use a dark foreground against a light background for dependable scanning. Avoid colors that are too similar, and do not place text, borders, or other graphics directly against the QR pattern.
The selected pixel value refers to the QR symbol before the optional margin is added. The final PNG will be larger when the safe margin is enabled.
Always Verify the Review Destination
The generator checks whether a review-link entry is a valid URL, but it does not restrict the input to a Google domain. Place ID mode checks that the field contains text, but it does not confirm whether the identifier is current or belongs to the intended location.
Before printing or sharing the code:
- Use the Open Link button and check the business name.
- Confirm the address when your business has multiple branches.
- Scan the QR code using more than one phone.
- Test the actual printed size and material.
- Make sure the page does not lead to an old, duplicate, moved, or unrelated listing.
Static QR Codes, Tracking, and Expiry
This Google review QR code generator creates static QR codes. The destination is stored directly in the QR pattern. There is no SanishTech redirect, editable destination, automatic link update, or built-in scan counter.
The PNG image itself has no expiration date. However, it will only remain useful while the encoded Google review link or Place ID destination continues to work. If the destination changes, create and redistribute a new QR code.
If you need scan analytics, you would need to use a trackable URL or another analytics system before generating the QR code. Be aware that redirect links and tracking services can introduce privacy, reliability, and long-term maintenance concerns.
Where to Display a Google Review QR Code
Place the code where customers can scan it naturally after completing a real purchase, appointment, delivery, or service interaction.
- Receipts and invoices: Add the code near a short, neutral feedback request.
- Checkout counters: Display it on a small sign or counter card.
- Restaurant tables: Add it to table cards, takeaway packaging, or the bottom of a menu.
- Thank-you emails: Include the QR image and the original review link.
- SMS or chat follow-ups: Share the review link directly because users cannot scan a QR code displayed on the same phone easily.
- Appointment cards: Add it to follow-up or service-completion material.
- Packaging inserts: Invite customers to share honest feedback after using the product.
- Service vehicles: Place the code on a leave-behind card rather than relying on a code printed on a moving vehicle.
Use a clear and neutral call to action such as “Scan to share your experience” or “Tell us how we did.” Avoid asking specifically for a five-star or positive review.
Follow Google's Review Policies
Google allows businesses to request reviews that reflect genuine customer experiences. However, its Maps user-generated content policy prohibits paid, incentivized, misleading, or selectively solicited positive reviews.
- Do not offer money, discounts, free products, loyalty points, or services in exchange for a review.
- Do not ask only satisfied customers to leave a Google review while directing unhappy customers elsewhere.
- Do not pressure customers to leave a review while they are still on the premises.
- Do not tell reviewers which rating or wording they should use.
- Ask for honest feedback from customers who had a genuine experience.
A QR code makes the review page easier to reach. It does not guarantee reviews, a particular rating, higher rankings, more customers, or increased revenue.
Privacy and Browser Processing
The QR generation flow runs in your browser. The tool uses the review link or Place ID you enter to create the QR image without making a Google Places API request or storing the entry through the generator.
The review link itself is designed to be shared with customers, but you should still avoid pasting unrelated private URLs, access tokens, passwords, or confidential information into the input field.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a Google Review QR code do?
It stores a link that points to your Google review page. When someone scans it, their device opens that link. Google may ask the customer to sign in before they can submit a review.
Where can I find my Google review link?
On a computer, open your Google Business Profile, select Read Reviews, choose Get more reviews, and copy the link Google provides. Interface labels may change, so use Google's current Business Profile instructions if you cannot find the option.
Can I create the QR code using a Google Place ID?
Yes. Select the Place ID option and enter the identifier for the correct business location. The tool converts it into a Google write-review URL before generating the QR code.
What can I customize?
You can choose 200, 300, 400, 600, or 1000 pixels, select L, M, Q, or H error correction, change the foreground and background colors, and turn the safe margin on or off.
What file format can I download?
The tool downloads the generated image as a PNG. It also provides Copy Image and Open Link controls after generation.
Does the tool verify my review link or Place ID?
No. It checks whether the link is a valid URL and whether the Place ID field is not empty, but it does not confirm the business, location, or Google destination. Always use Open Link and scan-test the QR code before sharing it.
Do customers need a Google Account to leave a review?
Yes. Google states that customers must be signed in to a Google Account to leave a review. The account can use a non-Gmail email address.
Does a Google Review QR code expire or track scans?
The static QR image has no built-in expiration date or scan tracking. It will only keep working while the encoded Google review link or Place ID destination remains valid.
Can I use one QR code for multiple business locations?
Use a separate QR code for each location. Each code should contain the review link or Place ID for that specific Google Business Profile so customers reach the correct listing.
Can I offer a discount for scanning the code and leaving a review?
No. Google prohibits offering payment, discounts, free goods, or services in exchange for reviews. Ask for genuine feedback without influencing the rating or selectively requesting only positive reviews.
